Palaeography Workshop for the GlossIT Team

On 7 and 8 October, the GlossIT team had the great pleasure of welcoming Colleen Curran and Ciaran Arthur to a workshop on Carolingian and Insular minuscules at the Institute for Digital Humanities at the University of Graz. Dr Colleen Curran, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Galway, gave a lecture on palaeography, Carolingian and Insular minuscules as well as typical abbreviations. Likewise, Dr Ciaran Arthur, currently an independent researcher, gave the GlossIT team an interesting insight into ‘Bede, Language, and Computus’ with his presentation.

The team is looking forward to welcoming both of them back to Graz soon and would like to thank them for the enriching workshop.
