Last week the Gloss.IT. PI Bernhard Bauer was invited to be part of ‘Common Grounds. Towards a Medieval Comparative Literature’. The conference was organized by Carlotta Posth (University of Würzburg) and Katja Weidner (University of Wien) and took place at the Burkardushaus in Würzburg. Bernhard Bauer delivered a response to ÉloÏse Adde’s (CEU) paper on ‘Multilingualism and 'National' Literatures. The Cases of Bohemia and Brabant in the Fourteenth Century’ and was one of the speakers in a roundtable discussion on ‘comparative approaches’. The results of the presentations and discussions will culminate in an edited volume on medieval comparative literature.
